Aiming to reduce quantitative and qualitative losses in the postharvest grain, the Labgrãos team makes available the Loss Reduction Program (PRP-Labgrãos), based on the concepts of food safety and safe food.
The Program involves, among other activities:
- Training of warehouse operators and laboratory staff of storage units
- Monitoring of drying and adjustments in operational management to reduce losses
- Preparation of calibration curves of moisture meters
- Step assistance loading of silos and bulk warehouses
- Development of operational protocols
- Thermometry monitoring and aeration management in silos and bulk warehouses
- Sampling in silos and bulk carriers to monitor the quality of stored grain
